The Sisteronais-Bu\u00ebch Community of Communes (CCSB) is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Lacs de la Germanette site in Serres this year. Created in 1996, the Germanette has, over the decades, become a key facility for tourism and recreation in the region, welcoming tens of thousands of visitors each summer with a concept that was innovative at the time: offering \u201ca beach in the mountains.\u201d <\/p>\n\n

Restoration of the site<\/h2>\n\n

In response to these new challenges, the CCSB is embarking on a new initiative focused on promoting the natural environment, diversifying its activities, and developing a higher-quality tourism offering. <\/p>\n\n

This new phase is accompanied by major restoration work on the site. Long marked by artificial developments dating back to the 1990s, the site is now evolving toward a model that is more in harmony with its environment. <\/p>\n\n

The goal is to expand the tree-lined areas in order to mitigate the effects of intense summer heat, enhance the site\u2019s landscape, and offer visitors a more immersive experience.<\/p>\n\n

A water park to boost the area’s appeal<\/h2>

The range of on-site activities has been expanded with the addition of a water park, adding a fun element to the experience. The goal is to attract a wider range of visitors and increase the site\u2019s visibility at the departmental and regional levels. Forty-two modules (slides, jumps, balance courses, etc.), featuring several thrilling obstacles, are available to visitors aged 6 and older (1.10 m) accompanied by an adult, for a flat rate of \u20ac10 per person for one hour. <\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
